September's highlights (pt1)

Post by Stuart »

In a bid to keep this section updated and to also jog folk's memory that I am going away soon (Sept 28th to Oct 5th) I thought I'd add some photos of recent work

In preparation for another show, I was booked to work on this beauty again. Engine bay, interior, alloys, arches and paintwork were all attended too

Hours and hours of polishing, tweaking and checks ultimately lead to a very satisfied owner. I've worked on a way of drying this car in a way that causes no water spots and completely touch free too. Something that keeps the £££££££££ paint job in great condition and helps this car win trophies at most shows.

Next highlight was a brand new car that needed protection. I'd worked with this guy before, and he wanted me to protect his investment rather than paying the dealer £400+ to cock it up!! The car was covered in iron fallout that looked like tiny rust spots on the paint. These were safely removed as part of a 22 point wash routine before a light machine polish and heavy duty protection. Alloys and interior fabrics were also cleaned and protected too.

A rare EK9 type R Civic has been a subject of two full days work. This was initially undersealed at APT and then fully valeted at the owner's place of work. A big turnaround and hugely enjoyable too. A few photos out of the hundred or so that were taken to document the work

Day two inspection (you can see how early I started by the sun's position!)

Headlights were to be restored, exhaust polished, alloys cleaned and sealed, paintwork machine polished, sealed and waxed, interior cleaned and protected, and lastly; engine bay to be cleaned and protected too!!
Snowfoam and citrus mix as part of the 22 stage wash routine

Exhaust two stage hand polished (not bad for a 99 car)

Door shuts, fuel flap and other 'hidden areas' cleaned
