After recently being wrapped, this R35 was in a right old state after three weeks of high speed winter driving.

The GTR had a full matte wrap with the roof, skirts, front and rear bumper trims as well as the spoiler wrapped in carbon. The alloys were refurbished and as well as a new set of tyres fitted (Massive 305's on the back!!)
Carefully cleaning and protecting a matte car is known for being a nightmare. The surface is more porous that conventional paint so dirt is harder to shift, and the surface is so easily marked so everything stands out a mile (stains, blemishes and bright patches caused by using too much pressure). Anyone can clean a matte finish, but I wanted to be 100% sure that the paint/wrap finish was perfect after I'd worked on it.
You have to use specialised shampoos, waxes and detailing sprays on this finish to ensure that there is no added gloss, so it was time for the Swissvax Opaque range to prove their significant worth!

With a performance hit that only 650+bhp can deliver, this GTR has the bite to match it's looks.

Thanks for reading the update if you got this far  Lots more updates in the coming weeks.

Putting a finishing/protective layer on transformed the look John. Top-end wax companies like Angelwax and Swissvax make bespoke products for matte finishes (wraps pr paint). I've owned matte painted cars for years so I remember the pain of keeping them looking good all too well!

Thanks for the kind words; see you Tuesday

Top work as always mate! Although I would have been far more impressed if you had managed to get a decent shine on the paintwork.;):D

That would have been easy Russ. Autosmart Evo 3 and a few hours machine work ;)

Stu, what a fantastic job you have done there and can't imagine how difficult it was to do.

But I must say I think the wrap doesn't do the GTR justice :(
