Excuse the indulgence :)
I wanted to keep a record of cars that I've worked on and where better place to do it than on here.

I've got bookings throughout November now and a couple of these are repeat customers (i.e. every two to three weeks) so that's cracking news for me and them :D

I won't post pictures of the shopping car variety, but anything interesting will get loaded up in here with a quick run down of the car, spec and the work done. If anyone has any questions please ask. If I don't know the answer, I will go away and find out, then report back

I'll start with one that you won't be familiar with........a brand new Audi TT-RS
Image
Image
Owned by Kev @ TGA, this five cylinder quattro packs 335 from the factory but this one goes a bit further :) 420hp and about the same torque through a DSG box make it one desirable daily.
Image
Image
Like a baby R8 it's packed with superb tech and amazing refinement for something that will do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds!

I had a short passenger run and the thing that struck me was the composure of the car. So solid under heavy braking, extreme acceleration, mid-corner throttle application........a typical Kev drive around Norwich :biggrinjester:
Image
A sensational car though and these photos don't really do it any justice at all. This was just under a four hour job including wheel arch clean, alloy wheel pre-wash, rinse, two bucket wash, rinse, dry, exhaust clean, windows inside and out, hoover, leather treatment, dash and doorguard treatment, full interior trim clean and all doorshuts to wrap up. Kev has asked me to go back in two weeks to give the car a top to bottom clean and full wax so I'll get some better photos at that point.

You're probably familiar with Logan's Evo (recently sold I'm pleased to say) but for records sake
Image
Image
360 ish BHP and a really nice example. I am sure that the new owner will be extremely happy. The big difference with the work on Logan's car was the extent of polishing work that was carried out. For this I used Autosmart's new Platinum polish and then followed up with Meguiar's Gold class to seal it.

Another cracking Evo, this time Evildave's Darth Vader looking 5
Image
Dave's car and it's spec is developing so I won't divulge too much here or now. I'll leave that for another post.
Image
Dave's car is booked in with me for another valet and underseal in a few weeks, and this next opportunity will give me the chance to get another layer of wax on there. It's had a tough life prior to Dave's ownership and I know that he's keen to invest money and love.......should be exciting!

Then there are the APT siblings.........the 330d and mighty Evo 7 missile
Image
Image

Both of these two saw minor paint correction and then more Meguair's gold class wax, something of a favourite of mine on black cars. Gary's Evo 7 obviously has a lot of aluminium that required polishing so there was a couple of hours on that lot alone (Intercooler, pipework, fuel cell and the likes).

Like I say, I've not uploaded anything of the Vito's, Land Rover's or whatever and I know I have some very interesting cars to work on in the next few weeks  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like an old school Quattro, looks like a baby R8 and goes like a ground to air missile. Add in factors like great build quality, stacks of refinement and a real split personality.........suave, sophisticated and stylish up until the animal sat next to me knocked it into sport mode, cogged it and we disappeared up the road like a rocket on fireworks night.

I'm a long long way from having too much work to do, so please feel free to request a valet :D

With the Charity Race Experience weekend coming up, Logan and I had discussed getting the mighty sprint 7 up to his standards before he had hundreds of punters climbing all over it. I had a gap in my schedule, so it was agreed to strike whilst we could.

The following work was agreed (all initial photos are 'before's' )

Clean the paint to try to return the original factory colour throughout
Image
Clean the wheels inside and out
Image
Clean all windows (glass and Lexan) inside and out
Minging !
Tidy up various scuffs and scrapes where possible
Image
Boot detail (polish dry sump and breather)
Image
Engine bay detail (inner wings, underside of bonnet, polish the plenum, polish the radiator and tidy up all hoses etc)
Image
Image
Polish exhaust
Image
Polish headlights
Image
Tidy interior (hoover, tidy flocked dash and roll cage)
Pretty good but the flocked dash was a bit fluffy
Remove exhaust heat stain
Image
Clean all door shuts, boot and bonnet shuts
Image
Heavy duty hard wax on bodywork to act as a sealant

Gulp!

Basically, I used a non-caustic cleaner to help break down the dirt before I laid a wash-mitt on her, and with this sprayed on I had time to get the hose set up and shampoo mixed up with all of my spare buckets for rinsing and wheel wash duties

With the car basically 'clean' I switched my attention to the engine bay to clean off the grot, polish the metalwork and generally give it some love!!

Time to get polishing the alloy

I don't mind bragging but check out the reflection of this!!

Image
Underbonnet looking much better
Image
Boot shut looking much cleaner too
