Just got my self a new toy and been having a bit of a play.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/klEzYGYNRDc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

With the original video, the incar footage is shaky as the camera is ahard mounted to the headrest, but youtube can automatically sort this out, the down side is the dash now looks like its made out of rubber.

Anyone seen any anti bump incar mounts?

Anyway, the 7Ds video is awesome, ive got a lot to learn, buts its great fun :)

Happy!

Yeah dont fit it to a headrest mate although it looks like the car is pulsing to the music :)

7D is a nice bit of kit for you Canon fanboys !!
Hope you have some nice L glass lenses to help show it off.

Gimbals or Steadycams.

I had a bit of a top gear moment this morning, intent on furthering my burgeoning film career I had a go at making a steady cam, using a ball joint that I had removed from Nigel last week, it was a cunning plan, with one minor flaw.

Once I had achieved a balance it did indeed damp radial movement left and right as well as fore and aft, but ball-joints also have axial movement, so the camera tended to wander of subject, arse.

Ambitious yet total cock. Hmmmm, should really have thought that through before welding it up.

However I have a new cunning plan involving a pair of bearings... more to follow... whether its any good or not remains to be seen.
