Biker riding the Nurburgring

Post by RX7 »

Now I've never been that fussed about bikes, would like to do my test one day.

But came across this on Youtube....not for the feint hearted....a Kawasaki Ninja at the Nurburgring....

Quite frankly, bonkers !!! :)

But yep, looks a bit quick :)

Nice! Hoping to do the 'ring on my bike next year but i doubt it'll be under a 10m lap, let alone a 7m50s!
James is looking for the next trackday...

Its one of those gyrocams that they use on some of the motogp bikes.....although not sure what its attached to on this occasion possibly mounted to the tank as you can see the riders chin bar from the crash helment come into view on occasions......

Bloody good footage though......"grande cojones" I think !

 tank-cam I think.

Looks quick but a strange 'lap'. He used the full straight for starters which is usually reserved for events when you would use the GP circuit too, then proceeded to follow the old track instead of carrying straight on to the GP version? Bizarre. Not that it matters, but I can't see these offering a meaningful 'car vs. bike' comparison of times.

Two other things caught me eye. The size of the screen and the difference between cornering lines between bikes and cars. The camera position and speed seem to accentuate that!

Nice clip though.
