Gaming Nostalgia

One random post by Dan on his Facebook Wall (about reliving an old Mario soundtrack) sent me on a Youtube 4+ hour marathon, digging up years of SEGA gaming history from the minute our parents bought us a Megadrive-
(For our younger members, one of these)

Obviously you have to start with Sonic the Hedgehog!

Part of the unofficial challenge was to get through the "Acts" as quick as possible- under 30 seconds for the first level was considered 'good'.
Then, inevitably, Sonic 2- with the introduction of a two-player mode, as well as the "3D" Special stages-

Another feature that made them worth playing to the finish was the long end-of-level Boss fights and Credits music (almost always the tunes from every level mixed together)-

I've a few more games to come, especially the later consoles, but anyone else remember any they miss from their childhood?
