Maff, I'll take your Bomberman and raise it with 4 player Goldeneye on the N64. The number of hours I spent on that was insane. Loved the dual controller method also :)

My favourite games were Primal Rage, Desert Strike, Alien3 and Super Hang On.
The MegaDrive was undoubtably SEGA's glory-days. Once Sony came onto the scene, they were too caught-up in being first with the next-generation consoles which meant things were rushed into production without the quality being there. But I'll mention the gems they did create, later. ;)

How could I have forgotten Desert Strike? Mmm... Cheesy intro-

Some side-scrolling arcade conversions:

Golden Axe (Me and my brother played it so much, the cartridge packed-up :smilielol5:)-

I loved bomerman! Infact ive still got it for the ps1.
An astro wars was my first electronic game but it was my Amstrad cpc464 that i remember fondest. I remember rating games on their load times. If they had a fifteen plus mins load time then it must have been a great game.:smilielol5: I remember having "how to be a complete bastart" I loved that game because it had bad language (cool!). Oh how i laughed(not) when finding a computer in the game it asked me if i would like to reset it? So i said yes and my pc reset!! (comedy bloody genius!)
Did anybody else like me spend hours and hours programming the diy games that were in the game magazines only to get to the end and try and load it then to have that bloody infamous line....."sintax error line....":poota:
The mega drive was awesome. I even bunked off collage just to finnish sonic. PGA golf was great too. The sounds and graphics were brillant at the time.
Then came the Playstation!:coolgleamA: Grantourismo..wow! My best mate and i spent literaly 48hours straight playing that getting the licences when he first got it!

Another classic, Micromachines-

http://youtu.be/9m08miUSCHI

Jazzed-up a bit for the sequel, with 4 player option using the two controllers (players only had steering and brake control, the cars automatically accelerated due to the limited buttons available)-

<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RfKYwpyn4lI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And proof, maybe, that some game designers smoked some funny stuff-

James Pond 2- Robocod :D

<iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BpMxsdCwn8A?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Earthworm Jim, who can forget launching the cow? Totally random!-

And if your global drinks corporation is going to make a game, make it a fun one. Cool Spot-
