Started mine today, have decided to leave the calipers in situ for as long as possible and have fully sanded down my front calipers now ready for painting. Am going to get the front ones all done and then go to the rears.
Been a cold day sat on the floor sanding them down all day!
Got to be patient like you said mate, took majority of the day just to get fronts prepped!

Frayz are you sure that 360 grade wet and dry is not a bit rough mate? I have used 1200 grade today to ensure that there is no scratch marks shown through the paint finish.
It doesnt take much to cut through to the paint finish to the anodised finish does it, i nearly went through to the alloy with out noticing!

Obviously the finer the grit the better. However i found that the VHT paint covered really well so didnt feel the need to use anything smoother than the 360. Cant remember to be honest, maybe i did... :roll:
Its good to see youre putting in the effort on the prep, it will pay when you have a great final finish.
I still would remove them from the car though. This ensures the best possible finish as you will need to spray in a warm environment and also they will ideally require baking in the oven to cure hard.
Also stops you getting a cold bum sitting on a cold garage floor

I dont really have any option but to leave them on the car mate as i cant block off my lines with anything so all the fluid would just fall out the brake lines.
When it comes to spraying i will hang them away from the hub and mask everywhere up. No electric in the garage so have got to get a generator and heat gun on the go for some heat! :?

Yep that will be fine.
As you will be spraying outside, make sure you leave them for at least 48 hours before applying the decals. Else you run the chance of putting fingerprints in the laquer.
