Re: TNTRacing - XRCosworth
Good stuff mate, I knew you would've done plenty of research yourselves but I still thought it was worth mentioning. Handy to know about the driveshafts- at least it's one upgrade you don't need to buy! :) I've got some things going on in the background- so the 'ol girl may be out sometime soon. ;)

Re: TNTRacing - XRCosworth
The other day I was talking to Mike Rainbird (http://www.randbmotorsport.co.uk/) while he was over at APT regarding your suspension set-up and what improvements you guys could do. Mike's white EsCos was fairly well known in the Ford scene, as was his fanatical attention to improving how it handled, ...

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
Neither Holden or Nissan have signed a contract for next year either, so there's the potential for no manufacturer support at all in 2017 (although it's highly unlikely)!

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
Shock news over the last few days with Volvo announcing they're leaving V8's at the end of the 2016 season, leaving only Holden and Nissan offering full factory support to their teams after Ford officially left at the end of last year. http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/championship/supercars-suppor...

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
They've done a good job of parity between manufacturer's up until now, but I can see it being a nightmare balancing a lighter-weight, turbo'd 4 or V6 against the traditional V8, short of adding a large lump of ballast over the front axle.

Re: Roll cage side impact/door bars
Probably the best example is the V8 2013 Courtney/Premat crash at Philip Island- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JoLBtFUlaY Even with all the advanced CAD design and computer stress analysis, it was probably the added benefit of the regs moving the driver's seat more in-board that prevented more ser...

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
Indeed! That circuit always seems to create good racing, plus some of the camera footage was excellent.

Re: Thoughts on the new F1 Qualifying format?
Yep, no-one likes it, but the FIA refuse to give them the option of reverting back to what worked in 2015. After a 90 minute debate today, the only options for China are: Elimination format for Q1 and Q2, then 'old' style for Q3, or Aggregate qualifying- where an average is taken of your two fastest...

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
I'm really surprised the organisers don't offer a highlights package via their Youtube page- I'm sure it would be really popular and provide them more scope for earning through advertising. I'm sure they used to do it in the past, but once Superview came around they stopped and would get other strea...

Re: V8 Supercars 2016
Yeah, that was a typically great opening set of races at Adelaide! Close finishes, battles from poor qualifying positions upto the front, and a bit of weather uncertainty- awesome! :D Good news for the Ford fans- Prodrive are planning to continue using the Falcon for at least another year, maybe two...
