Powerstation do a fantastic kit using Porsche 911 996 GT3 calipers, AP discs and Pagid pads of your choice. It's far from being the cheapest kit on the market but it is awesome. About

I finally took some pictures of the FD in it's current state and so thought I'd whack a couple up. It seems Duncan's philosophy was the same as mine when it comes to wider and lighter :D Anyway, hopefully to be seen at the Ring sometime soon 8) http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo174/Barnimo/Motors...

Don't want to be a doom-monger, but I don't think the pound/euro has bottomed out yet. You see, the reason the rate is so low at the moment is primarily to do with the fact that foreign investors are not investing their money in the UK and are actually taking money out of the economy. This is becaus...

Clutch-wise I've already got a twin plate - I only fitted the 6 speed box and flywheel 2 weeks ago and I was already hatching a plan with regards the engine. Can you give an indication of costs for the different options? For instance, how much approximately for a stock 2.5? How much for a 2.5 with a...

Cheers Duncan for the reply. I don't need 450bhp, but I certainly fancy it!!! To be honest, I think I would be happy with anything 400+. The car is currently around 320bhp. What I want is for it to be faster than it is now and to be able to withstand some hard use while being fairly reliable. From t...

Scooby build for reliable 400-450bhp

Guys, I'm looking for some advice on my Scooby. In a perfect world I would like to have my cake and eat it... err I mean get a motor built for my Scooby to run 400-450bhp while maintaining driveability and reliability. Is this possible or am I dreaming? The engine will go in my STI V6 Wagon which wi...

Which STi, UK or JDM, as that will make a huge difference to your rear diff. As Alyn says, you need either an Auto prop from a classic, an Newage 6 speed prop or 60mm removed from a standard classic 5 speed. Horses for courses on time, availability and cost. The 6 speeds are pretty tough, with some...

Thanks for that Mike. I've bought a 6 speed from a 2003 STI. I'm not going to change the rear driveshafts, hubs, brakes etc... I'm matching it to a UK Turbo diff and I've got the stick and prop. Maybe not as good conversion as yours, but my immediate problem was to get around my knackered 5 speed - ...
