Re: New toy 68 camaro
Yep custom alloy tank in boot with the sump sticking through the floor where the holley fuel pump is. It's all pretty tight underneath, and i have zero boot space but its functionsl and does the job

Re: New toy 68 camaro
AFR seems pretty stable. Ive been changing quite a bit on the carb, its an edelbrock performer 750cfm, ideally i'd like to go to a predator for a bit more tunability. Only problem i'm having is in the transition circuit trying to get it to come onto first stage of metering sooner apart from that run...

Re: Pete's Camaro
Thats some good work on the brakes Pete! I just got back from the USA and managed to bring a disc conversion kit with me, got one side fitted last night, also bought a big master cylinder and new proportioning valve so hopefully that'll help me slow down as the drums were not ideal to say the least....

Re: New toy 68 camaro
Disc conversion will be sorted once the motor is run in. Also need to rebush the front end and replace and grease rod ends etc for the ladder bars/wishbones. Trying to break it down into individual jobs rather than a complete rebuild. Oh and I have to change the ring and pinion gear for a street abl...

Re: New toy 68 camaro
No comeback at all. The guy I bought it off imported it 2 years ago and it just sat in one of his barns. He was disappointed when it arrived as the seller in the USA said the paint etc was mint, it's not and the rear floor is shocking (I'll get round to that next winter). I'm gutted about the motor ...

Re: New toy 68 camaro
quick update..... well my motor died after about 20miles use, no oil pressure and a big puff of smoke from the breathers. on closer inspection it was complete junk inside. so the rebuild has begun, replacement 2 bolt block (stronger than a 4 bolt on 400ci), eagle crank, rods, pistons +0.040", comp c...
