You need to know the stroke, bore, piston deck height, piston dish cc, piston volume above top ring, head gasket thickness, head gasket bore and head cc. Then, (Cylinder volume + head volume + piston volume + clearance volume + gasket volume) / (Head volume + piston volume + clearance volume + gaske...

Sounds like the new wheel is a 56 trim GT series, the 0.3mm difference could easily be down to the wear. The "slight movement with the weight of the wheel is enough for it to touch the housing" is odd, does the turbine wheel do the same? What happens if the turbo is rotated 180 degrees (ie upside do...

Our up pipe drops from circa 60 to under 50mm (50mm will easily flow 500hp). The test pipe is not exactly how I want it, but for now it will do for R&D. It will certainly improve spool, by how much we will have to wait and see. ScoobieWRX, do you have logging/dyno software (and boost/WB/EGT)? You ne...

If the compressor wheel is of slightly different trim then the machining of the housing (which must match the wheel profile) is fine. If the housing is fixed by a snap ring then it is possible to fit them

Nice thread Frayz, but... that Spec C manifold looks really really rubbish and you would be far better off swapping it for a really really cool 8cm housing :woohoo:

[quote="Gerry H"]I was looking at Jase's wideband last week, not sure what make it is but it has lambda in the central display and AFR around the periphery, or the other way round.

What i have sussed out from all this, and having done some more logging today, is that i'm not sure now if the decat 3 bolt uppipe that's part of the GT Spec GenII headers is a bit much for the VF35, and i'm now thinking a smaller diameter pipe would be better suited to the VF35 producing better sp...
