Sorry, you're saying you can't get a flywheel figure in dyno mode? That's very odd, when in dyno mode DD say that you should have a choice of compensations, coast down, ramp down etc, each of which gives you a fully corrected flywheel figure. Obviously if you haven't selected that option in the dyno...

Gary, are those flywheel or at the wheels numbers and what are the red vs green plots, is it just two runs on the same setup?

so chris if i do a power run in shoot out and the in normal dyno mode you saying it will be different?? Quite possibly yes. Obviously if your vehicle perfectly matches the default metrics for shootout mode and your tyre pressure/characteristics match then the results may be the same but in general ...

Gary, the results definitely should differ between shootout and non shootout for a number of reasons. One is that for shootout you pump the tyres up to 50psi and the compensation for this is an estimate. Another is that the compensations in shootout mode are based on an measurement taken from a numb...

Sorry but I dont get it. One moment you are slating them as rubbish, next you are talking about spending money and buying one. In dyno mode they're great as Gary says, in shootout mode YMMV. As long as you understand the difference between the two types of run that you can do then there should be n...

Hurrumph, so much for DD's sales rep in the UK, you'd have thought that he'd recall a potential sale but ho-hum, he has my card... The guys I spent a long time talking to though Allen and David who are the guys from Oz and who really know the system behind the scenes better than anybody else. They w...

On that basis you don't have a 1:1 ratio which is rather unusual. 4th is close but not quite.

These are the gear ratios for my car, 02 WRX. Can anyone tell me which one of these is 1:1 and why? 5th - 38.88888889 Final Drive - 3.9 Are you sure about those ratio numbers, they all look rather odd to me. I'd expect them to be more like this in form: 1st - 2.8:1 2nd - 1.9:1 3rd - 1.3:1 4th - 1:1...

Erm, yeah I guess that "giggle" does just about cover it... The 2.5 litres of fuel a minute at full chat is rather less fun but hey-ho it's got similar aerodynamics to a brick wearing a parachute so what do you expect :) In some ways the best bit is turning up to a trackday with 4 spare wheels and t...
