Even so weight could be tight , my main car weighs 2100kgs (but can only tow 1800kgs) so with my Skyline (1400kgs) and a trailer weighs around 300-400kgs so 2100+1400+400 = 3900kgs so over the 3.5t maximum authorised mass In fact even a large caravan could be tight , we had a 4 berth and it weighed ...

the real benefit of spraying them is you can touch them up afterwards , pick a colour that you can buy a touch up stick for.

Plating is a plate which tells you the maximum weight allowed on the trailer and the weight of the trailer itself. Its usually fitted to the chassis somewhere on the a frame .
