We've done two hillclimbs and shes been running pretty darn well. Firstly at epynt where I managed an 83.28, which was pretty good considering it was the first time i'd ever driven the car, or any car except my 40bhp Polo ;D Managed to beat my dad by 3 seconds :) The car definately has the potential...

They've run it twice so far, one in June 2007 and now in June 2008. I'm not sure whether they're going to keep it as an annual event or open it up more often. It's all on military roads so they're a bit limited.

Epynt Hillclimb: In-car Videos!!

Managed to get some video footage of the main runs on Sunday. Was an excellent day, the rain and storms cleared up and we got 4 good runs each! I managed 92, 87, 83 and 83, my dad managed 91, 88, 87 and 88, so I'm currently ahead in the 'Phelps hillclimb championship'. ;D Still a long way off the Ze...

The car is pretty much prepped for our first hillclimb now, less than 2 weeks :O. Made up a timing strut on the CNC laser cutter (what a tool!), bought a new 4pt harness and a race suit and will be padding the cage this weekend. I really can't wait, even though I won't actually have driven it before...

This afternoon was spent removing the all ali TU3S engine from my spares XS. It was surprisingly easy, manageable by a single teenager armed with a socket set and a jack!
